I found StatesCard and US Unlocked best working virtual prepaid card services to get HBO Max outside the USA.

However, StatesCard service is costly compared to US Unlocked. Because of this, I used US Unlocked to sign up for HBO Max in Canada.

Here’s how you can get HBO Max in Canada using a US virtual prepaid card:

Step 1: Head to USunlocked and click on the “Register” button.

Step 2: Now enter the required details and click on the “Next Step” button.

Step 3: Now verify your email in the mailbox by clicking on the “Confirm Email”.

Step 4: Now enter your address detail and click on “UPDATE HOME ADDRESS”.

Step 5: Once the following screen appears, click on the “GO TO MY DASHBOARD” button.

Step 6: The US virtual prepaid card account is now created. Click on the “LOAD” button to add funds to your virtual card.

Step 6: Set the amount you want to add and click “Next.” Now use bank transfer method to add funds and click “Next”. There will be a 3% charge on any amount you add.

Step 7: Now for the confirmation, click on the “Confirm Load” button. please check the amount carefully before confirming it.

Step 9: Now send the amount to the given bank address you get on your screen.

Step 10: Once the funds are added on your virtual prepaid card, connect to the US server using a VPN and make sure your device location is off — I used ExpressVPN.

Step 11: Now head to the HBO Max (now Max) and click on the “SIGN UP NOW” button.

Step 12: Choose your plan and click the “Continue” button.

Step 13: Now enter all the required details and click on the “Create Account” button.

Step 14: Choose credit/debit card method for payment and enter your US virtual prepaid card details that you created earlier and click on the “Start Subscription” button.

Step 14: Once the process is complete, sign in to your HBO Max account and watch all your favourite shows, movies, live sports and news in Canada!

The Crave video quality is also not as good as HBO Max. You can feel the videos dropping a frame or two. The low frame rate hampers the viewing experience.

Another annoying issue is that usually the subtitles don’t keep up with the dialogues. You’d be hearing something but reading something else. This is probably because of the low frame rate.

Overall, HBO Max has a much better quality and viewing experience. In my opinion, Getting HBO Max with a VPN is a much better option.

12. Next, tap ‘Manual’ for your DNS Settings.
13. Choose Primary DNS and enter the IP address from that open window.
14. Press Done and tap Next.
15. Then, press ‘Automatic’ for MTU Settings.
16. Choose, Do Not Use, for your Proxy Server.
17. Tap’ Test Internet Connection’ for Internet Settings Updated.
18. Now, restart your PS4 for your DNS to take effect.

How to watch Max (HBO Max) on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S

1. Click the Windows button on the computer.
2. Enter “cmd” (command).
3. Right-click “Result List Entry Command” prompt.
4. Select “Run As An Administrator.”\
5. Enter “netsh WLAN show drivers” in the prompt window.
6. Click Enter.
7. Get your Xbox to the same network as your computer and connect the computer to the VPN.

2. Locate the MediaStreamer DNS server IP address and keep this window open.
3. Make sure to select the US server.
4. Take your Samsung TV remote and press Menu.
5. Navigate and select Network and then press Network Status.
6. The TV will check for an internet connection and will display four options on the screen.
7. Click IP Settings.Now, press DNS Setting under the IP Settings Menu and press “Enter Manually.”
8. Enter the MediaStreamer IP addresses from the browser window you were told to open.
9. Press Enter on the remote to save the settings, and then click OK.
10. If you have not entered the correct DNS server address, the screen will display you no internet connection.
11. And vice versa. 
12. Once you are screen displays that you are connected to the internet, press Close.
